- Responsible primarily for the Finance regulatory reporting of IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts for the assigned countries as required.
- Coordinate between the local team and central teams, EMEA PMO and the EMEA regional functional teams (Controllers, Actuarial, Investments)
- Ensure primary statements and disclosures are correctly reflected in the financial statements.
- Review journal requirements to ensure appropriate chart of accounts established and provide expense splits as required.
- Ensure required reconciliations between IFRS accounting rules system, ledger and disclosures and reconcile source input data required for modelling to the ledger.
- Test processes for any new ledgers required if applicable (foreign exchange, chart-fields, trails etc.).
- Identify and escalate risks and document key decisions and activities (accounting policies, methodology, system architecture).
- Experienced qualified accountant.
- 5+ years of experience in big4 Audit Companies.
- Proficiency in English to effectively communicate with stakeholders in the region.
- IFRS and USGAAP accounting standards knowledge.
- IFRS 17 implementation experience is a surplus.
- Experience of large-scale projects or implementations.
- Strong analytical skills
